GIIOFEED is GIIAVA's feed-grade lecithin range. The first decision is technical — do you need the hydrolyzed liquid (Ly) or hydrolyzed powder (Py) — our flagship lyso-lecithin formats for monogastric and aquaculture digestibility — or the standard liquid (L) for pellet-mill lubrication, or the standard powder (P) for accurate gravimetric dosing into a dry premix? The second decision is the raw-material source — sunflower, soy, non-GMO IP soy, rapeseed, or ricebran — driven by your label, your customers' allergen sensitivity, and your regional preferences.
Four formats. Two of them — the hydrolyzed grades, Ly and Py — are where most of the modern feed-nutrition lift comes from. Standard liquid (L) and standard powder (P) cover the workhorse pellet-mill and dry-premix jobs.
Phospholipase-A2 hydrolysis converts the parent lecithin into lyso-phospholipids — one fatty-acid tail removed, the molecule becomes more amphiphilic, the HLB rises. The practical effect in feed is better dietary-fat emulsification at lower inclusion, particularly in monogastric (broiler, layer, swine) and early-stage aquaculture diets. Performs across a wider pH range than intact lecithin and works in immature digestive systems where adult bile and lipase capacity isn't yet in place.
The same lyso-phospholipid chemistry as Ly, delivered on a dry carrier so it doses gravimetrically into a dry premix. Powdered hydrolyzed format gives premix manufacturers the lyso-lecithin functional benefit without the handling of a viscous liquid — no heated transfer lines, no pump train, no oil leaching into the surrounding starches.
Liquid lecithin doubles as a die-conditioner at the pellet mill — reduces pellet-press temperature, improves throughput, lowers die wear — and emulsifies dietary fat at the same time. The economical workhorse format for high-volume mills where the lecithin earns its keep at the press before it even reaches the animal.
For premix and feed manufacturers who need accurate gravimetric dosing of phosphatidylcholine into a dry matrix — broiler starter, layer ration, aqua micro-pellet. Goes through gravity hoppers and ribbon mixers like any other powdered ingredient, with no oil leaching into the carrier.
Lyso-phospholipids as feed emulsifiers and digestibility enhancers are documented across the poultry, swine, and aquaculture nutrition literature. A species-specific paper pack with the inclusion rate and the analytical spec we recommend ships with the TDS — we don't headline-cite single studies because the right reference depends on your species, stage, and ration baseline.
All four formats above are available across the GIIOFEED source range. The source segment in the SKU is what determines the allergen statement, the GMO status, and the regional positioning of your finished feed.
| Source code | Raw material | When to specify |
|---|---|---|
| F | Sunflower | Soy-free positioning, allergen-sensitive feeds (pet, fish hatchery for premium aquaculture), EU-preferred clean-label. |
| S | Soy | Default high-volume grade. Cost-led applications, standard broiler / layer / cattle / aqua feed. |
| N | Non-GMO IP Soy | EU retailer specs, certified non-GMO premium feed lines, regional markets that require IP-traceable supply. |
| R | Rapeseed | Markets with regional preferences for rapeseed-derived ingredients, or where a non-soy / non-sunflower oilseed source is required. |
| B | Ricebran | Asian markets and ration positioning built around rice-derived raw materials. |
Two segments together produce the SKU: format × source. Example — GIIOFEED-P-N = feed-grade powder lecithin from non-GMO IP soy.
Four formats × five sources. Not every combination is in continuous production — final grade availability and the analytical spec ship on the Technical Data Sheet with your sample.

Schema reminder: Py is typically the Ly liquid sprayed on a food-grade carrier (palm or silica) — the carrier appears in the source segment only as a documented dilutant, never as a lecithin source claim.
Standard de-oiled powder lecithin runs phosphatidylcholine (PC) at ≥22%. GIIOFEED-P-S25 is the high-PC specialty grade with PC >25% — designed primarily for shrimp nutrition at a 1:7 blend with GIIOFEED-L liquid, which lifts the diet PL:total-lipid ratio to ~2:1 to match shrimp body composition. Also used in choline-loading rations, early-stage aquaculture, and monogastric starter diets where lipase capacity is still maturing.
Same de-oiled-powder process, same five-source SKU schema (F / S / N / R / B), same analytical pack on the COA — just a tighter PC specification. Available on special request, MOQ and lead time on quotation. See shrimp species page for the body-composition math and our internal growth-trial reference data.
We don't ship blind samples. A trial is structured so you generate defensible data on your own line and your own animals.
Conservative commercial ranges across species and stage. Final dose is species-, stage-, and ration-specific and ships on the TDS with the trial sample. The trial protocol included with every sample is structured to validate the response on your own line.
